about
"Kennedy Rose" is the fifth track released from the 'D.T.M.A. (Dance This Mess Around)' EP. It's a nostalgic melody inspired by The Beatles' "She's Leaving Home" and based on a bittersweet, a true story about losing a loved one. However, it is a song full of hope, healing, faith, and finding the courage to go on.
lyrics
VERSE 1:
Can’t tell you how it began
Didn’t even have your name or plan
Talkin’ I’m here, this will get through
Didn’t know that I was losin’ you
Another life I’ll be here
Where nothin’ would ever disappear
Could have told you what you meant to me
What a beauty to be
CHORUS:
And there she goes now
I guess I’ll see her heaven, Kennedy Rose
And there she goes now
I guess I’ll see her in heaven, Kennedy Rose
(Guess I’ll see her rose)
VERSE 3:
Slipped away don’t know how to regret
No one knows but my feelings are threat?
Being here is there nothing better?
Hope she’s there oh please God, let her
Another life I’ll be here
Where nothing would ever disappear
Could have told you what you meant to me
What a beauty to be
CHORUS:
And there she goes now
I guess I’ll see her heaven, Kennedy Rose
And there she goes now
I guess I’ll see her in heaven, Kennedy Rose
(Guess I’ll see her rose)
BRIDGE:
Right now we want to have her with us
We’ve got to wait to see her smiling on the other side
On the other side
Right now we want to have her with us
We’ve got to wait to see her smiling on the other side
On the other side
CHORUS:
And there she goes now
I guess I’ll see her heaven, Kennedy Rose
And there she goes now
I guess I’ll see her in heaven, Kennedy Rose
I guess I’ll see her in heaven, Kennedy Rose
Kennedy (3x)
I guess I’ll see her in Heaven, Kennedy Rose
Kennedy (3x)
