The “Rock ‘n Rose” EP is a self-produced experimental mashup of my musical influences, setting the stage for my versatility as a songwriter and performer. I called myself the female Lenny Kravitz meets Lauryn Hill with a splash of Betty Davis! Passionate about soul, hip-hop, and rock music, I created across genres eager to mix instrumentation, styles, and audiences.

I was drawn to guitars and rock legends Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, and Led Zeppelin. I admired the freedom of their voices and bodies on stage and embodied that untethered energy in my performances. Poets Nas and Mos Def taught me the effective potency of language over hip-hop beats. Stevie Wonder and Jeff Buckley anchored me in soulful songwriting that expressed the divinity between words and music. Pop, R&B, and neo-soul influenced my artistry, too; the omnipresent songs of Whitney Houston illuminating in me the power of the human voice.

These incredible beings interweaved their magic, mystery, and melody into my spirit. Drawing from the wealth of their musical wisdom has been a source of inspiration and guidance as I’ve journeyed to reconnect with my vibration, rhythm, and voice in the sacred tradition of sound creation.
